Sarah Sedlacek, MA, PLMHP
Sarah is oriented toward people and what makes them uniquely beautiful. Relational in nature, she finds purpose in creating a therapeutic connection rooted in curiosity, compassion, and a touch of humor. She guides clients in learning about their brain and body, cultivating awe, exploring story work, and fostering mindful awareness.
Sarah received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College. This CACREP-accredited program has equipped Sarah to apply skills within an integrative array of approaches, including Narrative Therapy, faith integration, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-
theory, and mindfulness-based practices. Sarah believes the integration of faith in counseling is powerful work, and she approaches it with discernment when clients find it meaningful (whether it be gospel integration, church-hurt processing, or spiritual exploration). She is also EMDR-trained from an EMDRIA-approved facilitator and finds it an honor to support clients through a trauma-informed lens.
When not seeing clients, Sarah enjoys making new Spotify playlists, exploring state parks, and visiting local coffee shops with friends and family. Her ideal day would bring together live jazz or a symphonic performance, plenty of laughter with friends, and a good meal. This same spirit of presence and curiosity shapes her desire for clients to be seen and supported!
Sarah accepts self-pay, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Midlands Choice, Medica, and Cigna.
