Kelsey Schwab, MA, LIMHP

Kelsey provides holistic, trauma-informed therapy, as well as Christian counseling for those who desire it. She primarily works with adults, though she works with some couples and teens (15+) depending on their presenting concerns and needs.

Kelsey was trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy through an EMDRIA-approved program in 2020. EMDR is a key part of her work, not only for trauma but also various other issues/symptoms. She additionally utilizes concepts from attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, and exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy. Kelsey has experience in areas including: PTSD (single-incident and complex); spiritual/religious hurt or trauma; severe/persistent mental illness; depression and anxiety; grief; aging; eating disorders; substance use; relationship conflicts; and faith exploration. She has experience completing mental health and substance use evaluations as well (e.g., for court, probation, etc.).

Her hope as a therapist is to be present and attuned to her clients and to foster authenticity. She is honored to walk alongside others in their journey to overall wellness.

In her free time, Kelsey enjoys being outside (especially admiring a great sunset), going on walks with her family and dog Magnolia, cooking/baking, playing games, listening to live music, and spending time with her family, friends, and church fam.

Kelsey accepts self-pay, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Midlands Choice, Medica, Cigna, and United Healthcare/UMR/Optum.
