Johnathan-Roy-New

Johnathan Roy, MA, LMHP, CPC

Johnathan offers a safe, warm, and accepting therapeutic environment to individuals across the stages of adulthood. He specializes in trauma therapy and helping people compassionately face the fearful and anxious parts of themselves that are preventing them from living more fully in the present moment. Johnathan is experienced in using a diverse range of therapeutic modalities (including EMDR, Brainspotting, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help individuals face past experiences of accidents, disasters, abuse, neglect, and violence.

Johnathan received his Masters in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. He has a history of working in community based mental health in St. Louis, MO where he assisted adults with chronic, severe mental illness. His counseling approach is holistic and integrative, grounded in the belief that true healing involves the whole person — spiritual, physical, emotional, and intellectual.

When not providing therapy, Johnathan enjoys spending time with his wife, five children, and one dog, and exploring all the activities Lincoln has to offer a young family. He also enjoys doing home renovations, amateur woodworking, camping, hiking, cooking outdoors and visiting family around the state. He also enjoys filling his home with others, especially around a table full of board games.

Johnathan accepts self-pay, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Medica, Midlands Choice, and United Healthcare/UMR/Optum.
